The school is organised into three phases of Learning. These are The Foundation Stage (including Nursery and Reception), Infants (Key stage 1) and the Juniors (Key stage 2).

At Devonshire Park, we have a whole school approach to planning. Our planning is organised according to the needs of the National Curriculum and the additional needs of the individual children in our care.
Through Early Years Education, we aim to develop the “whole child” socially, emotionally, physically, intellectually and creatively.
There are four mainstream classes and one Speech and Language Resource Base and One Social Communication Recourse Base class in Key Stage 1.
Children transfer to Key Stage 2 at the age of 7. The Key Stage is organised into Lower School; Years 3 & 4 and Upper School; Years 5 & 6. There two classes in each year group
The curriculum is organised in two sections; Core subjects which are Literacy, Numeracy and Science, and Foundation subjects which are: Art, Geography, History, Information Technology, Music, Physical Education, Religious Education, Technology, P.S.H.E. (Personal, Social, & Health Education). All subjects are taught through building learning power.
The majority of P.E. at school is delivered by Sports Coaches from Premier Sports. Premier Sports has a long standing reputation for providing quality sports coaching & education in primary schools. All staff are qualified, experienced & CRB checked with first aid and child safeguarding awards. Our school philosophy is to provide an inspiring, challenging and creative solution to the PE curriculum and sports coaching programmes in a safe learning environment.
