Learning Resource Provision

The Social Communication Bases

Our school has resourced provision which meets the needs of up to 16 children or young people between the ages of 4 and 11 years, who have social and communication difficulties. Small group specialist teaching is offered with many pupils having regular opportunities for supported inclusion into the mainstream school.
Entry to this base is restricted to children who have a Statement or Education, Health and Care Plan.

The Speech & Language Base

Our school also has resourced provision which meets the needs of up to 10 children or young people between the ages of 4 and 7 years, who have specific expressive language difficulties that require intensive speech therapy and specialist teaching. The maximum stay for children is generally 2 years.

Entry to this base is coordinated by the Local Authority in liaison with the Speech and Language Therapy Department without the need for an Education, Health and Care Plan
